As a first-generation British Malaysian Chinese, I have experienced both Eastern and Western cultures which has given me a personal insight into the challenges and liberation of finding our own identities and values within our families and society.
Prior to being a counsellor, I worked as a solicitor for over a decade in the City as an advisory lawyer and a litigator in both the private (including in-house) and public sectors. I have an innate and first-hand understanding of commercial and corporate working environments and the associated pressures.
As well as my private practice as a counsellor, I have counselled students on a voluntary basis at City Lit and Kingston University. At certain times during the year, I am an assistant trainer on a voluntary basis at Psychosynthesis Trust.
